Eriskay is a remote Scottish island. To get there you take a plane to Glasgow, then the coach to Fort William and the train to Mallaig, where you take the ferry to the Isle of Skye. There you take the bus to the village of Uig and the ferry to Lochmaddy, on the island of North Uist, one of the Scottish Outer Hebrides. A local bus service will then take you to South Uist and over the new stone dam, to Eriskay.
And so, the small island is connected to the world. And the world to the small island.
The Eriskay Connection is an independent publisher about photography, art and visual culture. Since 2011 the love for designing books inspires us to create a path by publishing, not knowing where we will ever end up. On our way we pick up friends to travel along. Together we do what a book does best, bring the world into our hands. Whether it’s huge or small.
